  I wish I could go see the orchestral show in Australia!!!! Anyone ever heard of the Vitamin String Quartet? They do classical tributes to a variety of bands. They're really good!

  I like that you used the word "strain." It makes them sound like a bacteria, which they are. Kara's the only one around that age group allowed to like them ;) (Well, Kara and anyone else who's not gonna make me want to punch them in the face at shows)

  Yeah, I mean they turned down a major label recording contract. That's not very sell out-y to me. And would you honestly turn down an opportunity to work with Howard Shore, even if it is Twilight? Probably not. They said in the announcement too that they've wanted to make music for movies too so they're doing what they want.

  Besides, I think they may blow over with the tweens (hopefully). Because 1) their music is a lot higher quality than what tweens generally listen to 2) there are other artists like Bat for Lashes on the soundtrack ...

  What an honor for you guys!!! Looks like Twilight found a way to make me see it... Le sigh. Haha.

  While I'm happy for you guys, I really hope... that Metric doesn't become the next Paramore. I.E. all the crazy Twilight fans become obsessed with them and don't shut up about them and are all... "ZOMG THEY'RE MY FAVORITE BAND!!!!" even though they just heard of them last week... And then they start showing up at concerts and then they make awful YouTube videos and then they bring in people who don't usually go ...

  It's Wednesday and that means it's time for BAD TRANSLATION WEDNESDAY!!!! Whoop! I plug and chug some lines from Metric songs into the bad translator and post whatever it spits out. YOU figure out what the lines are!

  Since no one got the second one from last week, I'm recycling it with a hint: It's from a Live It Out song.

  Iiiiiiit's bad translation Wednesday! Time to plug and chug a couple lines from Metric songs in the bad translator and see what comes out! Then it is all of your responsibilities to figure out which lines they were!!!

  There's two lines today!
  "We lost a window. Family, friends, a secret location outside of the skin."
  "You deal with death every day."

  I actually kind of like these. I think I might make a poem out of bad translations of Metric... when I have time haha.

  Alex got the first one!!!! But you're severely off on that last one. Not gonna lie, there's really nothing left from the original line. The translator truly lives up to its name on this one =)
  If you guys wanna give up I'll tell ya what it is (or I can give you a hint). Otherwise, keep guessing!
