Hahaha, it was about a month ago now? Yeah, it's been a month now. And by I told them I meant I posted on their Facebook page and they responded... Kinda surprised! And of course I want to be your friend haha!

NO, MINNEAPOLIS FIRST. It's been a month and I already need more Metric. I'm like a heroin addict... but less needles and more sexy Emily singing.
I told them to come to MPLS on Facebook once and they responded... *gets dreamy eyed remembering*
But I doubt they do. Actually, kinda hope they don't cause of all my old posts about my not so secret crush on Emily... and Jimmy... and Joules... and Josh...

I heard stories from people who were there it sounds epic.

Haha, I met the promoter for Lilith Fair at a festival and he talked to their road manager and they got me backstage. It helps that I have a Metric tattoo I think... I'm obviously a little dedicated to this band =) I didn't know it was happening until a few hours before it did and I shat myself a little haha. I'm sure someday you'll get a chance. I honestly didn't think it would. It'll be awesome and totally worth it because they're all so rad.

Haha, yeah I did! I was just like, "Thank you guys so much... your music literally saved my life. Like I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you." and showed them my Metric tat and EMILY SAID IT WAS GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!! And then they signed the sign I had made for them and I talked to Joules for a little bit and HE HUGGED ME before I left. I was so like awkward though just because I was so like awe struck because they were RIGHT THERE. Like... Jimmy and Josh and Joules and Emily were like REAL ...
Alex, it's unfortunate that you don't live closer. We'd go to so many shows. And if you can come down, you totally have a place to stay!

Dude, I totally understand how you feel. I met them three weeks ago and I was so like... awestruck that I probably came off like an idiot. And afterward I cried hardcore. Like everyone around me was like... Dude, what's wrong with you?
And believe me, I've already bitched about it on Facebook quite a bit and again, I'll probably end up crying... Le sigh...
Oh, it's not too far from where I live... only like a 7 hour drive and I have lots of friends who live in Chicago. My problem is I have a STUPID WORK RETREAT THIS WEEKEND THAT I DO NOT WANT TO GO TO AT. ALL. >=( >=( *pouts*
I hope they realize that around 5 on Saturday when Metric is playing I'm going to be bawling uncontrollably haha.

I'm going to like 3 concerts in the next two months by myself (Gaga, Broken Social Scene, and Land of Talk). It's not stopping me that I don't have any friends who like the same music that I do. (Well, friends who live near me, anyway) You'll have a blast!!
I would too if I didn't have fucking finals tomo... I'm kinda pissed about not being able to go to see them at Lolla. Hopefully they'll come back this way again soon. (Even though it's only been like two weeks haha)
