Metric Gimme Sympathy. LIVE..wmv
Metric on Jools Holland the other night.
Metric on Jools Holland the other night.
Emily Haines interview about performing in Australia with a symphony. Good read.
Yeah, Thom Yorke, Death Cab for Cutie, Grizzly Bear, Bon Iver, St. Vincent, Beck, Bat for Lashes, and Beach House are all sell outs. I hate them all because they wrote songs for a movie aimed towards a teenage demographic. How could they all do this? They must only care about money right? And let's all get pissed off that teenagers are going to hear something other than Beiber and Ke$ha. Bloody sell outs.
And I'm not proud of Metric's success. I wish they could only play to half filled bars.
I did a review of Broken Social Scene's new album Forgiveness Rock Record. It has guest appearances by James Shaw and Emily Haines and is overall rather awesome.
Sentimental X's is stuck in my head.
I liked how Josh spoke up when that reporter asked the question since he is usually pretty quiet in interviews.
Man, I love this band.
If I were a girl I totally would have bought the shirt you're wearing and wear it all the time.
Ron McLean just gave a shoutout to Metric on Hockey Night in Canada.
Congrats on the wins Metric!
100% agree
Review of the Halifax show.
Thanks Alex. I think if any of us didn't get to the front of a show, we would have to hand in our gold stars.
Photos are up on the blog. Feel free to use them, just give credit where credit is due. Enjoy, leave comments, etc.
lots more where this came from!
You can go to Billy Tallent and Alexisonfire instead haha
If I can get wifi I'll be doing a few live reports from Metric tonight.
I'm on the forum, I just never go on :(
I know! I've said on here we need a mod, and I think it should be one of us regular posters.
But it seems management is not interested in feedback from the band's fans.
Halifax is anxiously awaiting your arrival.
I'm not sure if I'm going to download the leak or not.
I think re-releases a year later are lame.
I need them to play this Wednesday night. I think I may have told the story here before. But when I saw them last summer this guy who looked like a mercenary or something was tripping out on hardcore drugs and looked like he was possessed by the devil, and was saying stuff to my friend. And I got really scared for her. And this all happened during Handshakes. So Handshakes=fear and panic for Briggins. This needs to change.
Ittssss Metric Monday! The day of the week where we focus on one Metric song and talk about what we love about it, what our favourite line is from it, what we don't like about it, etc.
Song in focus:
Handshakes
I got a chuckle out of that. I wonder when they were on here? Me, Joey, and that other dude with a G in his name and I feel horrible for forgetting it must not be making enough noise or we look like young women.
