  • I have just read that Metric played in Fredericton New Brunswick about 2 weeks ago. Here is a review.

Did anyone here go to this under-advertised event? I would have made an attempt to go, since it is apparently Metric's first appearance in New Brunswick, but I heard nothing about it. Until I happened to read the review, published last week in an entertainment weekly.

When is Metric next playing the Maritimes?

I think it's a hint of an upcoming East Coast Canadian tour in summer of 2010. Or maybe that's just me, continuing to lobby...

Wow, very nice. The orchestra arrangements were beautiful, and brought out different takes on the songs. And an excellent interview.
I would like to see this performance commercially released for fans to buy.

    Awesome Briggins, MORE photos. please!!!

And tell us how the show went!!

  • scribbleyguy commented on a link by Briggins on Apr 14, 2010.

    Excellent, Briggins! Have fun!
I realllly wish I could be there. I am within 3 hours drive of the place but just cannot get there tonight.
However, in a perfectly classic example of unfortunate timing, I WILL be in Halifax tomorrow night. (.. mutter mutter...)

  • Hmm, quite a bit of spam here, maybe we need a moderator. Or someone to sweep out the spam once a week, at least.

Not sure how this relates to Metric, maybe that you need a job to buy this house, buy this house to pay for the car, etc. Either that or this is spam. nahh...

Sweet potatoes? Sure! They're good as fries, and sometimes I cut them up in chunky pieces and roast them in the oven along with other root vegetables like turnip, parsnip and carrots.

  • Darn, one upcoming East Coast date for Metric in Halifax, April 14th. I can't make it there on a Wednesday night; it's a 3 hour drive from where I live. Any chance they'll play other East Coast cities this year, or is that it?

And the synth and sustain prog rock guitar, priceless.

Pretty great. Not everyone will get the TransSiberian thingee joke, but hasn't Metric always been that way?: Laugh if you get, it, blink in utter confusion if you don't. The choir girls were excellent also, very well rehearsed.

These days I'm listen to Rolling Stones, Zeppelin, 1960's Frank Sinatra, Lady Gaga, Them Crooked Vultures, Levon Helm and Oleta Adams. Next week, who knows..

This is absolutely fantastic, thanks for the quick response!

  • VERY excited to hear that Metric is planning dates on Canada's East Coast in 2010. Any hints yet as to where those dates might be, or what month?

  • scribbleyguy commented on a post by Lana Belle on Oct 29, 2009.

Too bad about the EP not being available in Canada until 2010.

I would recommend that Metric release Plug In, Plug Out as a high quality FLAC version, so we can hear the music as they performed it, rather than in the reduced quality of MP3s.

If the 2010 Canada launch was of higher quality, it would be worth waiting the extra months for it.
Do you think there is any chance of that?

    Hi Chris!
I am using (Mac) Firefox 3.5.3.

(Mac) Camino 1.5.4 is allowing me to post this note to you..

  • Happened to notice that the Metric Classic forum is not loading at the present mo'. Reconstruction?

  • Oops, I need to clarify something from my earlier typo-enhanced post. While Firefox on Mac would not allow me to post comments or even to sign in here, I used a browser called Camino on Mac to do so successfully.

Yes,this is a boring post, but has to do with you (Metric and the Type Pad people, both) reaching and communicating back and forth with people with all kinds of platforms.

And other kinds of shoes also. Ahem.. :)

And now, back to comments about the tour and the new album... How about a few tour stops in the Maritimes ...

  • And sorry for the typos, ha ha

  • Wow, this is great. My first post! ( grabs a gasp of fresh air )
I was having tremendous problems with using Fireofx on Mac, no able to post comment shere at all. Now in Safari on Mac.

Nice to see this new interface, best of luck and hello to all.
