I FOUND IT THE OTHER DAY! BY ACCIDENT!
I think that as much as I love this community, the forum is still more alive if you're looking to chat about Metric!
Do you know whereabouts? I live in North Van, never seen or heard of it.
Where is it?
I'll buy it off you.
Is it a rental or is it someones house?
You guys are amazing! Glad you're actually reading them, real dedication.
So down
You guys seriously made the best weekend of my life!
Vancouver misses Metric. Can we have a show like Toronto? Dr Blind? All Yours? Strings and Emily on the piano? Please?
I cannot thank you guys enough for playing Hustle Rose yesterday. Great show, Vancouver always gives Metric lots of love!!!
SEE YOU TONIGHT! MALKIN BOWL FTW
My friend is also dating a guy working on the video...possibly the same person?
I'm hoping for an updated setlist at Malkin Bowl. As much as I love the current one, I'm getting tired of it. I would love to see Hustle Rose! And since it's outdoors, anything acoustic is going to sound beautiful!!
LOVE the new music video. You guys just keep outdoing yourselves.
I am lucky enought to have CIHAAD that Emily signed for me at V-Fest! I also have 2 copies of Staticl.
Dear Metric,
We love you and miss you. We wished you'd played a show during the Olympics. Hopefully you'll be back soon.
Love,
Vancouver
Metric we miss you. Please come back to us soon. Possibly with Plug In Plug Out.
Gold Guns Girls is going to be a single, it has been mentioned several times they're shooting a video for it. Pretty sure SL then GGG. We'll see as 2010 progresses!
Lana do you know if there will be photos/a video for the Canadian tour?
Gimme Sympathy. Though I adore Metric deeply, it is and will always be a pop song. It's probably not one of the most amazing songs on Fantasies yet it gets the TV shows, the top 10 list on iTunes etc. Reason being, it's upbeat, bubbly, catchy, and repetitive. Help I'm Alive is lyrically strong, and the way the music is arranged makes it an amazing song, and deserves the recognition it has. I would say the strong part of Gimme Sympathy is that the lyrics are fantastic, but structurally and the way it sounds, it's not ...
I've always like "Shake it out, static anonymity" or "Grow Up and Blow Away". I also think "Help, I'm Alive" written in the handwriting like it was on the single cover would be bad ass. My friend has the first 4 notes of The Twist tatooed on a music bar on her wrist, it's so cool. So there's a chance I would get music notes. Every Metric tattoo I see is "Love is a Place" so I would never get that. I would get it around my ankle somewhere, or the side if my arm.
Though not my favourite album, I would bring Fantasies as it would keep me the most positive as it is their most uplifting album.
I got my Nana hooked already! She loves Emily's solo stuff but she's also fond of Twiligh Galaxy, Gimme Sympathy, Collect Call and London Halflife.
Well I would sit them in the living room, and serve them drinks by the fire. I would also say that anyone is allowed to jump on the piano and play anything. I would love to share baking recipes with Emily and talk about our family because we have the same last name...perhaps a connection? I would also love to sit and chat with Joules and Josh, and talk to Jimmy about the early days. All the while, we have awesome music playing, and the most amazing food to eat.
