Iiiiiiiiit's Bad Translation Sunday!!!! (aka Joey hasn't had time to make bad translations on Wednesdays because of school... boo)
I put a line from a Metric song into the bad translator and post whatever it spits out at me and it's your job to figure out what line it is!
I'm gonna do three lines this time to make things a little more interesting. Let's see if you can guess what they are!
"I do not know. He wanted to sleep alone."
"I do not think that my dream is too small."
"My children, my friends, you can see the book, he said"
#2 Keep the dream tight?
uhh i feel like the third one is from too little too late, i may be way off
agree with kara for #2
number one... errgh i don't know
You're close. It's "I can't feel a thing, my dreams are so tight."
And you are way off on number three hahaha.
The first seems like it would be "Can't stand by myself, hate to sleep alone", though that almost seems too easy. It could also be "Here no one sleeps, one lays up while the other lies down" I guess...that translator is really messed up.
You would pick the second one, of course. It's not like it's inked into your skin or anything.
I feel like the third one is from "Grow Up and Blow Away" (I think because I associate 'book' with 'typewriter'. I actually can't think of any other songs that reference children either...there's "Rock Me Now", "Raw Sugar" and "I.O.U.", but that's what comes to mind. I feel like I'm forgetting an obvious book reference though...
I feel like the third one would make decent song lyrics as they are now.
^yes.
Alex got the first one!!!! But you're severely off on that last one. Not gonna lie, there's really nothing left from the original line. The translator truly lives up to its name on this one =)
If you guys wanna give up I'll tell ya what it is (or I can give you a hint). Otherwise, keep guessing!
telll us
Wow, I totally forgot I created this acount.
mmm, anyway... Talk like an open book?
I feel like a stranger. Not that I'm good at it, I can't believe I missed Bad Translation....Sunday? Well, I still have tomorrow!
Joey, what's the third one, it's cuckoo difficult.
Hi, Ellen!
Number 3 is:
"I always said that when I grew up I would give my friends another chance to see their lives rearranged."
How it arrived at that translation is an enigma.
Hahahahahaha!!! Bad translation!!!!!! I feel bad for that country who speaks that language.
