I really like it too but I think the new Gimme Sympathy is really swell too. I wish they'd take the parts of that song they didn't use and turn it into another song. I LOVE the line, "Meet me at the gates of hell; I'm on the guest list." They seriously need to use that somewhere. For real. For serious. For realllll yo. Seriously. I'll stop now.
Yeah they're both pretty honest pop songs which is kinda cool.
I'm kinda glad they didn't use they whole "Your panties are a pot of gold" verse in the studio version. That marks the first time I haven't been a fan of Metrics lyrics.
Hahaha! The first time I heard that line I peed myself from laughing so hard. But it is a little awkward. Actually more than a little awkward. I do really like that part of the song, however. I love Jimmy's "babadabadas" or w/e.

I was a fan of this version too actually, I liked the feel of this one a bit more. I LOVE LOVE LOVE "Meet me at the gates of hell / I'm on the guest list". I realized Metric lyrics mention gates a lot last night ('The Gates' obviously, and a song on Live It Out that I currently can't remember)...almost as much as they mention "get you off", "get off on", etc. I also really liked "I'm sold / There's no romance without finance" too.
