• BBB continued and a question for the newcomers...

    Question 32:
Pick a Metric song that defines a)your lifestyle, b)your personality, and c) your life (musically and/or lyrically). Why? *it's a three part question, so three answers.

Thanks for the tip, Alissa. I hadn't noticed the 'you' thing.

Ah, now it makes more sense!
;)

It's weird to see this on the first page!haha Perhaps we'll be joined by more people now.

By the way, for those who may wonder what BBB stands for: Box Breakers Buddies. It's kind of a long story, but basically we just write a lot of random stuff, and lately we've been making questions (not always Metric related) too.
So, yeah...Welcome aboard!
=D

I'm not sure how I skipped this bit over...

"That's how my Japanese teacher used to teach"

WHAT?! You know japanese?! That's one of my goals in life!haha Is it as hard as it seems? I'd really want to learn, I mean I don't expect to be fluent (I'm not THAT naive), but I'd love to know even the most rudimentary japanese... It just sounds awesome! I feel a bit overexcited for some reason...Weird. Hmmmmm. Wait...I already told you that, didn't I? In one of my previous answers? (The japanese thing, not me be being overexcited) Anyway, yeah. I'm off.
;)

Lazy, have you had too much sugar again today? lol

"You know japanese?!"

I can read most of the words, but I don't really know what they mean. Haha. The skill is useless.

Ariel says: "Your heart was what?.....oh wait you mean like a hammer...? :P"

Alex responds: "I can't believe I missed that!"

I know right, you're the one who always fits in that Metric reference that nobody thinks of.

Alex says: "I love how much you can communicate with only your eyes, especially with the people you're close with. I think that's the most amazing aspect of non-verbal communication there is."

Yes it is. It's like those words that cannot be translated. With eye contact someone can tell something that wouldn't be the same when said.

Alex: "I was so excited to tell you both, I bought "More Adventurous" today!"

That's so awesome. I would love to walk in to a store and hear 'More Adventurous', I don't think I would leave. Hahaha. "Does He Love You?" is definitely one of my favorites to.

Alissa says: "but I was being sarcastic. I'm way too cool for that name."

Hahahaha! Nice one, Alissa.

"Sarcasm is like my mother tongue...you can't tell that over the internet"

Is there are sarcastic face? If there isn't, you should make one. :)

"I'm too clumsy and I get distracted way too easily. I'd be a great danger to humankind if I'd ever choose to learn to drive."

Hahaha! Me too. Which is exactly why I don't have my license yet. I almost crashed into a car yesterday, the problem was I wasn't driving, I was walking. Hahaha!

"Why? Why would you want to make a question like that, Ariel?"

Yeah...sorry about that, I don't know what I was thinking. I was listening to 'Cut in Half...' over and over(crimson and clover haha jk), and I was thinking of another question, that you asked. I think it was 'what album could you not live without?'. 'Cut In Half and Also Double' and 'Knives...' are the albums I don't think I could live without. Which got me thinking of where Emily would be if she hadn't met Jimmy. I'm a terrible person to think of such a thought. I'm sorry for bringing it up. Hahaha! :P

"Wait...did you said pick 'a' song? Yeah, right. Sorry about the list then."

Alissa, I've learned to accept your many answers. So, when I say 'a' song', it mean 'pick as many as you want, Alissa'. lol :D

"I've also seen 'Shutter Island'. I really liked that one. The 'big twist' wasn't that big of a twist after all, but it was still highly entertaining. 8.5/10"

Right, it was very predictable, but I just really liked it too. The cinematography was beautiful. I just loved the little hints.

"I fell on Monday, cause the ground's been so slippery."

:o Hahaha. I love how you say it's no big deal, then you say pretty much your entire body hurts. But it's no big deal right? lol Well, I hope you heal just fine. :)

"I just re-read the post and at some point I remembered what I was going to tell you, but when I got finally to the end I forgot again."

Hahahaha. It'll come to you.

Question 34:
If you had a door in your house that can take you any, I mean any one place you would want to go, where would it be?

"Lazy, have you had too much sugar again today?"

Well, I did have two extra delicious chocolate muffins early on, actually...
=P

"I can read most of the words, but I don't really know what they mean."

hahahaha that is pretty useless. I'm sure your teacher is proud of you.
;)

"Is there are sarcastic face? If there isn't, you should make one."

Oooooh that's a good one! I'll think of something.

"I almost crashed into a car yesterday, the problem was I wasn't driving, I was walking."

hahahaha It happened to me once! Or to my friend. Hmmmm. I can't tell. Either way it was funny!
=P

"The cinematography was beautiful."

It really was! Gorgeous. Hey did you think that Leo overacted some scenes? I did, I always find his characters a bit annoying and somewhat unsympathetic. Though I love him in 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape'.

"But it's no big deal right?"

hahahaha right!
;)
I'm actually quite better, my ass doesn't hurt so much now.lol My elbow still aches a bit though. But it's all good. What doesn't kill you, makes you...stranger. (sorry, a Joker reference was needed there)
:D

Answer 34
Easy. Narnia! (yes, I thought it was about time to bring some real lame-ish answer)
Now on a serious note...
* Fictional place
- Cemetery of Forgotten Books

* Real place
- ...
I have to think about that one.

You still didn't answer your own question, Ariel! The one about personality/lifestyle.
=O

Question 35
Is there any celebrity you wish you looked like? Who? (You can name as many as you want)

I'm insanely confused.

By the way, cheers for breaking our very first box on BBB Part II, Ariel! Unfortunately, I failed miserably. I shall try again tomorrow.hahaha
;)

"I'm insanely confused."

hahaha I'm sure you are, Joey. Remember we told you about a certain thread full of 'weirdness'? Well it was way too long for us to post there, so we started a new one and thought maybe others could join us too. But I supppose even after 6 replies it's already a mess.hahaha
;)

Oooooooooh, so it's a place where you just post about anything and don't censor yourself? Wait, I do that everywhere...

Oh well! I want in!

Uhhhhh... QUARKS!!! Wooo sub atomic particles!!! You're like... particles that are smaller than the basic building blocks of the universe. You go, tiny warriors, being mavericks against scientific convention and such. Ummmm... You know what else is great? Magnetic fields. Ahhhhh, yeah... So... attractive... and... magnetized and... physics.

That was horrible. Horrible, horrible, horrible.
But it's not my fault. I just got back from the dentist and so I'm still on my magic happy calm down pills. So basically I'm higher than high... Lower than deep. Yep. I just went there.

Nice relocation! I have a bit to catch up on though so stay with me here!

"I thought we were friends, Alex.
=("

We are Alissa! Don't worry, I won't let pudding get between us!

"Sarcasm is like my mother tongue...you can't tell that over the internet"

That is like the best quote I've ever heard in my life! I will be using that in my daily conversations now, thank you very much haha!

"*I fell on Monday, cause the ground's been so slippery."

Haha welcome to my life! I'm sorry you fell though :( Don't worry, eventually you'll adapt and balance! In the meantime, buy some skates! I went skating today and remembered just how much fun it is haha :)

"I know right, you're the one who always fits in that Metric reference that nobody thinks of."

Haha I do my best! Here is the exact conversation I had with a friend on Facebook while we were trying to organize a group of people to go skating:

Him: "Alex. Come on. You need to bend over backwards to meet our needs"

Me: "Pfft. I don't wanna bend, let the bad girls bend; I just want to go skating...is it ever gonna be enough?"

Him: "Alex, this is not the time for Metric lyrics!"

Me: "IT'S ALWAYS THE TIME FOR METRIC LYRICS!"

So I try. I try very hard :)

"I just loved the little hints."

This Shutter Island sounds like the kind of movie I'd like! That description makes me think of The Sixth Sense...an EXCELLENT movie.

I'm sorry Ariel, I just still can't answer your question about the songs. I need to keep thinking on it, it's a big one!

"Question 34:
If you had a door in your house that can take you any, I mean any one place you would want to go, where would it be?"

To the rooftop of the hotel I stayed in in Paris. I LOVED that city for some reason, grit and grime and all. The hotel my friends and I stayed at when we went on a school trip was about ten stories high, and one of my friends had a room on the top floor. We noticed that outside their window there was a service pathway, and I LOVE roofs (I always climb out onto my own on summer nights haha) so I was like "Let's follow this!"
So my brave friends came with me that night and we followed it around to where we had to kind of hop up a bit from one building to another (more of a long stretch than a hop really), then on the top of that building there was a ladder that led up to the highest roof in the area. We followed that and there was the most AMAZING view of my life, The Cathedral Sacre Coeur lit up in one direction, the Eiffel Tour lit up in the other and the lights of the city in between. It was actually the most amazing moment and I'd love to just go back to it whenever I wanted.

"Question 35
Is there any celebrity you wish you looked like? Who? (You can name as many as you want)"

Apparently I look like Uma Thurman, so got that as a fall back haha. But seriously, I can't really imagine looking like anyone else without being that person, so I'd want to be/look more like someone I admired - a ton of musicians actually. So obviously, Emily Haines haha but Zooey Deschanel too, I think she's very unique looking. I always thought Reese Witherspoon was pretty too...and she did attract Jake Gyllenhaal so bonus :)

Joey, that was weird, even for this thread haha. Yay! And way to go there haha ;)

"Well, I did have two extra delicious chocolate muffins early on"

That explains your weirdness, but what's wrong with Joey? :P

"I'm sure your teacher is proud of you."

Oh yeah!

"It happened to me once! Or to my friend. Hmmmm. I can't tell. Either way it was funny!"

Hahaha! Nice one!

"Hey did you think that Leo overacted some scenes?"

Yeah, right at the beginning scene, I was thinking that he was a bit over the top. But, I love him, so it doesn't matter. I agree, he was great in 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape'.

Question 34
Disneyland!

"You still didn't answer your own question, Ariel! The one about personality/lifestyle."

Right! I'm still thinking about it. lol

"Question 35
Is there any celebrity you wish you looked like? Who? (You can name as many as you want)"

No, not really.

"so it's a place where you just post about anything and don't censor yourself? Wait, I do that everywhere"

Hahaha.

Don't forget to answer the question, Joey. Wait 'till the drugs are out of your system. Come back to us when you've come clean. Hahaha! I couldn't let that one go.

"So basically I'm higher than high... Lower than deep."

Nice one, Joey! :D

"I won't let pudding get between us!"

Hahaha!

"Me: "IT'S ALWAYS THE TIME FOR METRIC LYRICS!""

Hahaha! I laughed too much at this one. lol

Alex, your Paris story was bleeping magical. lol

"Apparently I look like Uma Thurman"

This reminds me of something...I was on youtube(not Alex :P. Yep, I couldn't let that one go either) and this weird person, I have no clue at all who the were. Anyway, they said Emily looked like Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction, and I absolutely agreed. I still think this PERSON on youtube is weird. Hahaha jk.

Uh...I have to think of a question. I shall be back with one.

Right, I was looking at the Broken Social Scene self-titled booklet notes and I was thinking, I kind of think 'Anthems for a 27 Year Old Boy' is a cool title for 'Swimmers'. Though, 'Swimmers' is a great name for a song, I think the other matches it a bit better.

I was going to tell you guys some thing, but the same thing that stole Alissa's thoughts took mine. :( By the way, did you ever remember LazyD?

*high-five* for breaking the first boxes, Alex. :D None for Alissa. :P

You know, Alissa, I've been meaning to compliment you. Your English is really good, you write so much better than over half of the people I have in my classes. So, kudos for that one. :D

Right. Today I went to go to my favorite records store, which happens to be a block away from the venue I'm seeing Metric at. Usually the sign over the Palladium has a few band names, and Metric is a month away, but I guess it's kind of a big deal so the sign had Metric all over it. It was super cool to see!

"Uhhhhh... QUARKS!!! Wooo sub atomic particles!!! You're like... particles that are smaller than the basic building blocks of the universe. You go, tiny warriors, being mavericks against scientific convention and such. Ummmm... You know what else is great? Magnetic fields. Ahhhhh, yeah... So... attractive... and... magnetized and... physics."

hahahaha and with that, Joey, you're entering in the spirit of this thread!
;)

"That is like the best quote I've ever heard in my life!"

hahaha I feel sorry for you then.
=P

" In the meantime, buy some skates!"

I can barely walk, let alone skate.haha I'd never get anywhere, except to a hospital, maybe.

"Him: "Alex. Come on. You need to bend over backwards to meet our needs"

Me: "Pfft. I don't wanna bend, let the bad girls bend; I just want to go skating...is it ever gonna be enough?"

Him: "Alex, this is not the time for Metric lyrics!"

Me: "IT'S ALWAYS THE TIME FOR METRIC LYRICS!""

hahahaha Nice! Man, I really want to squeeze in some Metric lyrics into my conversations too!
=D

"That description makes me think of The Sixth Sense...an EXCELLENT movie."

I watched it knowing already that the guy was a ghost all along, but it was still awesome, though. 'Others' is another great film, and it's similar to 'The Sixth Sense'. I actually like that one better, I think. By the way I hope I didn't spoil the movie for anyone...
=S

Woooow Alex, that Paris thing sounds so magical! No wonder you wish you could could come back to that moment.
=)

Answer 35
I actually don't want to look like any particular celebrity. I mean there are some people whose features/body parts I find beautiful (Keira Knightley's face, Kate Winslet's hands), but overall I don't think there anyone I'd like to be a copy of.
=/
I think.
;)
(don't know what was that all about haha)

"Come back to us when you've come clean."

Oooh good one! Apparently I'm the only who doesn't make any lyrical references here...Hmmmm. I have to work on that.
;D

"they said Emily looked like Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction, and I absolutely agreed."

Hmmmm. I've seen that film a couple of years ago, so I can't recall Uma's looks, but generally I don't think they look alike at all.

"I kind of think 'Anthems for a 27 Year Old Boy' is a cool title for 'Swimmers'."

Oooooh that is cool, Ariel! Nice.
=)

"I was going to tell you guys some thing, but the same thing that stole Alissa's thoughts took mine."

That 'thing' is evil. We shall send it to the depths of HELL!muahahaha
Yeah, so it's 9:40 am, I just woke up, and I already thinking of hell. I'm sensing a fine day ready to unfold.
;)

"By the way, did you ever remember LazyD?"

Nope. What's gone is gone forever.hahaha

"None for Alissa."

Ahhhh! How dare you! You'll see, I'll make this box BREAK so hard it's going to be crazy! CRAZY! *explosive sounds*
(seriously, no sugar today)

"You know, Alissa, I've been meaning to compliment you."

Awwww thank you, Ariel! That means a lot to me, really. You know what? You two can have your pudding day after all.hahaha
;D

"but I guess it's kind of a big deal so the sign had Metric all over it."

That's so awesome! It's less than a month away, right? Yeah, you better begin to dust off your camera, Ariel.haha

I can't think of any question at the moment, so I'll try to think of something else...Hmmmm. Hey, how about some random trivia?! *jumps of excitement*

I present you: RANDOM TRIVIA TIME! *confettis falling*

Did you know that during our lifetime we make enough saliva to fill two swimming pools? Yeah, you're welcome for the image.

If the population of China walked past you in single file, the line would never end because of the rate of reproduction? Yep, there are a lot of chinese people out there.

And how about this one? An average talker sprays about 300 microscopic saliva droplets per minute!!!

The average human eats 8 spiders in their lifetime at night! That one will give me nightmares.

And finally, this is the one I find more intriguing: there is an average of 178 sesame seeds on a McDonald's Big Mac bun. Thought provocative stuff, is it not?
=P

I'll try to come up with a question and come back later.

"Don't forget to answer the question, Joey."

It's true. You can be as insane as you want, but you must at some time answer the question!

"Come back to us when you've come clean."

Lovely :) Alissa, don't you worry - your time for randomly quoting Metric lyrics into everyday conversation will come!

"Anyway, they said Emily looked like Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction, and I absolutely agreed."

Ahahahahaha oh Ariel! I read this and was definitely like...hmm that's weird, I thought that once...then I went and checked and sure enough I did say that! And you know exactly who wrote that hahaha I didn't miss the "weird" jab! Nice try at a sneaky mocking comment though haha. If only I looked like Emily!

"I kind of think 'Anthems for a 27 Year Old Boy' is a cool title for 'Swimmers'."

That's awesome! I unfortunately don't own 'Broken Social Scene', which I may have to pick up now because I LOVE linear/booklet notes like that with CDs. I do love the name 'Swimmers' though, but now I'll always think of it as that sort of alternate 'Anthems'. What a cool idea to think of it that way, god job BSS.

"*high-five* for breaking the first boxes, Alex. :D None for Alissa. :P"

Well *high-five* for both of you too since you both broke boxes with your posts! Good to see we're getting back into our namesake habit already!

"Usually the sign over the Palladium has a few band names, and Metric is a month away, but I guess it's kind of a big deal so the sign had Metric all over it."

Ahhh! You must be so excited already. I remember the day I saw "METRIC" on the sign for the venue they played here, I was thrilled. I definitely took a picture of it to capture the moment!

"hahaha I feel sorry for you then.
=P"

No Alissa you don't even understand. I completely stole that from you and have already used it four times, twice today and twice yesterday - I'm not kidding at all. It garnered laughs every time haha. So thanks for letting me rob your humour!

"'Others' is another great film, and it's similar to 'The Sixth Sense'."

I'll have to write that one down of my "List of Movies to Rent". It contains mostly movies recommended by you two haha.

"I've seen that film a couple of years ago, so I can't recall Uma's looks, but generally I don't think they look alike at all."

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=18Pn-wqbIpg is the video. Even if she doesn't look like Uma, it's still an awesome interview. I remember seeing an article about Metric (...just looked it up); it was the National Post and it said "Emily Haines and Jimmy Shaw are like Canada's Mick Jagger and Keith Richards -- if Jagger looked like Uma Thurman and Richards was a 34-year-old with fewer cumulative falls from the coconut tree." Haha I like that one. And when I was Googling "Emily Haines Uma Thurman" to find that, I saw another few articles with the same idea, one ever calling Emily a "ringer" for Uma. So who knows! I don't usually see it either.

"You two can have your pudding day after all.hahaha"

Thank you! So kind haha. But Ariel's right, your english is fantastic. I honestly would never have known it wasn't your mother tongue (after sarcasm, of course).

"I present you: RANDOM TRIVIA TIME! *confettis falling*"

Haha I loved this section! Especially because it was introduced with confetti! I knew a few of those, but not the saliva-related ones. Those are both kind of gross...

I can't come up with a question right now either, but I still think that's okay. We'll get around to it at some point.

And Ariel, I'm still thinking on your Question 32! I think for aspect a) of that question ("lifestyle") "Combat Baby" would fit my life right now...only someone would be singing it to me, telling me to "fight off the lethargy". I went through a slow period for a bit but now I feel like I've come back in fighting form! Haha I'll think about the rest.

"And you know exactly who wrote that"

Ahhhhhh! God, I'm so slow.hahaha This bit makes more sense now "I still think this PERSON on youtube is weird."
;)

"Good to see we're getting back into our namesake habit already!"

=D

(one day my posts will be made purely of weird faces, you'll see hahaha it's cause I'm so evolved *nods*)

"I definitely took a picture of it to capture the moment!"

I would sooooooo do that! I'd even make a little film or something!haha And I'd interview random people about it, asking them just how excited they were about seeing Metric, and if they would say that they've no idea who they are, I'd look for my iPOD (well it's not really an iPOD, but that has nothing to do with this super exciting and factual story) in my bag for half an hour and then make them listen to my favorite playlist, and then they'd be like 'Listen, crazy girl, I have to go, stop following me,ok?'... Yeah, that sounds about right.
=P
(That was obviously 100% unsarcastic)

"I completely stole that from you and have already used it four times, twice today and twice yesterday"

hahahahaha awesome! That shall be my legacy!
;)

"So thanks for letting me rob your humour!"

I'm calling the Joke Police right now.
=P

"Emily Haines and Jimmy Shaw are like Canada's Mick Jagger and Keith Richards -- if Jagger looked like Uma Thurman and Richards was a 34-year-old with fewer cumulative falls from the coconut tree."

hahaha Nice! Great description.

"Thank you! So kind"

Yeah, well, I try. hahaha
;)

"I honestly would never have known it wasn't your mother tongue (after sarcasm, of course)."

Thank you and hahahaha. Sarcasm is a beauty, isn't? You can say the most barbarian and nonsensical things, and then just add 'I was being sarcastic' in the end and people forgive you.hahaha Gotta love it.
=P

"Those are both kind of gross..."

Then my goal have been achieved. hahaha

"but now I feel like I've come back in fighting form!"

=)

So I came across a little piece of information that deserves...

RANDOM TRIVIA TIME: SPECIAL EDITION! *extra confettis*

There are more than 1,000 chemicals in a cup of coffee! What do you say about that, you Starbucks junkies? hahaha

Still no new question, but I promise I'll be back TODAY to make one or two.
;)

Yep, I'm back. Bet you weren't expecting it. (Ignore)
Anyway, I thought of a couple of questions.
=)

Question 36 (I think)
If Hollywood decided to make a movie about you, and you had the power to choose an actor/actress who would play you, who would it be? Elaborate a bit.

Question 37
This one's probably a bit more time consuming, so no rush.
What song would you like to be played...
-> on your wedding day
-> at the lifetime achievement award ceremony (in your honor, obviously)- yeah, that's right, I'm a positive thinker haha
-> on your funeral

Hey, I don't know if you guys already know this song called 'Like A Fadeout', but apparently it will be part of BSS's new album, so here's a link to a live version. I think it's absolutely brilliant! I have it on repeat right now.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4DRHKW8Q
I hope that link works (it was my first uploaded ever)haha
;)

Alissa, I'm serious. You need to get Facebook just to hear these songs! "The Gates" is absolutely gorgeous, and I've never heard it like this! "Black Sheep" is stellar too, it's similar to their 'Myspace Play This' version of it but so much cleaner! If you are absolutely SET against getting Facebook, I will give you my account to try it out just so you can hear these songs, I'm not kidding. This is pure auditory beauty.

So annnnyways, gush-fest over, back to the issues at hand.

"And I'd interview random people about it, asking them just how excited they were about seeing Metric, and if they would say that they've no idea who they are, I'd look for my iPOD (well it's not really an iPOD, but that has nothing to do with this super exciting and factual story) in my bag for half an hour and then make them listen to my favorite playlist, and then they'd be like 'Listen, crazy girl, I have to go, stop following me,ok?'"

Great plan! Propagate and put it into action haha. I'd watch that documentary!

"I'm calling the Joke Police right now."

Oh no! I'll have to watch my humour from now on apparently.

"You can say the most barbarian and nonsensical things, and then just add 'I was being sarcastic' in the end and people forgive you."

Haha I know! It's like when people start a phrase "No offense but..." The following is basically the outline of another conversation I've had a few times before when people start something like that:

Me: "Wait, wait. Do you think I'm going to take offense to what you're about to say?"

Them: "Well, no I'm not trying to say it in a mean way but..."

Me: "Okay, you realize you just saying "no offense" doesn't actually make it less offensive, right? Like, if I was going to be offended by it before I probably still will be."

Them: "..."

Me: "Yeah, thought so."

I've avoided being offended many a time haha. I will no longer be tricked into forgiveness!

"There are more than 1,000 chemicals in a cup of coffee!"

Eww...I wonder if that's including the chemicals used to grow the coffee. My International Development professor is always talking about that, because apparently it's a lot.

"Question 36 (I think)
If Hollywood decided to make a movie about you, and you had the power to choose an actor/actress who would play you, who would it be? Elaborate a bit."

Hmm that's a hard question. I think I would want the movie to be about me many many years down the road so that Meryl Streep could play me. Why? Because I think she is an exceptional actress, and because I can't think of anyone closer to my age and appearance who I could imagine representing me.

"Question 37
This one's probably a bit more time consuming, so no rush.
What song would you like to be played...
-> on your wedding day
-> at the lifetime achievement award ceremony (in your honor, obviously)- yeah, that's right, I'm a positive thinker haha
-> on your funeral"

Okay, is it weird that I'd definitely choose "Love Is A Place" for both my wedding AND my funeral? I know Ariel and I have discussed how we've both already decided "Love Is A Place" would be our funeral song, but it's the kind of softly beautiful song I'd want to have at my wedding too. That's probably a subconsciously dooming sign of me and relationships...

I'll continue to think on the 'lifetime achievement' part; it's like Ariel's Question 32 that I'm still considering.

"Hey, I don't know if you guys already know this song called 'Like A Fadeout', but apparently it will be part of BSS's new album, so here's a link to a live version."

Okay so weird, somehow when this came on I was like "I've definitely heard this before" but I don't know from where! It's very troubling for me now. I like it though - not love it, but like it - but it definitely does sound very Broken Social Scene-y to me. I wonder if I've seen a video for it or something. Thanks for the download though, it worked just fine. Where did you find it?

"I can barely walk, let alone skate.haha I'd never get anywhere, except to a hospital, maybe."

Hahahaha!

"'Others' is another great film"

Yeah; I liked it better than 'The Sixth Sense' too. I kind of think it was less predictable, so I was kind of like 'what the eff' at the end.

"but generally I don't think they look alike at all"

It was mainly in the 'Metric is not for hipsters' video, she's got the dark hair and looks kind of high. lol

"Oooooh that is cool, Ariel! Nice."

I hope you don't think I came up with that one. I didn't lol

"Yeah, so it's 9:40 am, I just woke up, and I already thinking of hell. I'm sensing a fine day ready to unfold."

Hahaha! Hopefully it wasn't too bad.

"I'll make this box BREAK so hard it's going to be crazy! CRAZY! *explosive sounds*"

And so you did. I saw your post and I thought there was a firework. It was crazy, like you said.

"You two can have your pudding day after all."

Hahahaha! Yes!

"It's less than a month away, right?"

Oh yeah. They have an opener now. I like the opening band and all, but I don't generally like shows with openers.

"Did you know that during our lifetime we make enough saliva to fill two swimming pools?"

Uh....ew.....lol

"I present you: RANDOM TRIVIA TIME! *confettis falling*"

Hahaha! Yaaaaa! lol

Question 33:
Lifestyle: 'Quiet Fire' by Melody Gardot
Personality: 'Overload' by The Cardigans
Life: 'A Little Bit' by Madeleine Peyroux

"Nice try at a sneaky mocking comment though"

Hahaha! Thanks. I've been waiting to fit that one in. I'm such a geek. :P

"I don't usually see it either."

I definitely do. Emily's looks are a bit less awkward and more feminine, though.

"one day my posts will be made purely of weird faces, you'll see hahaha it's cause I'm so evolved"

Hahaha! I can't wait to see that. Speaking of, where is this sarcastic face I've been waiting for. :D

"I'd look for my iPOD, in my bag for half an hour and then make them listen to my favorite playlist"

Hahahaha! Right, so it takes you 30 minutes to find your mp3 in your bag? lol

"That was obviously 100% unsarcastic"

Good to know, but I think Alex and I already know. We totally have it in our heads just how silly you are. :P

"There are more than 1,000 chemicals in a cup of coffee! What do you say about that, you Starbucks junkies?"

Hahaha! That's funny. You say the funniest things. :).....Right! Don't bring it up again. lol

I have to think on 36 and 37, I'll be back with the answers. :D

"This is pure auditory beauty."

You're absolutely right. I love the song sooooooooo much. Alissa, take her up on the offer. I would definitely create a Facebook for this song.

"I've avoided being offended many a time haha. I will no longer be tricked into forgiveness!/"Do you think I'm going to take offense to what you're about to say?""

Ooh, I might just have to take this one from you.

"I know Ariel and I have discussed how we've both already decided "Love Is A Place" would be our funeral song"

Oh yeah, that's definitely my funeral song. It's perfect. Not that funerals are good, but if they must happen that's my tune.

"it's like Ariel's Question 32 that I'm still considering."

Don't forget question 33. Hahaha! Wait did you answer 33, I don't think you did. lol

I spent 30 minutes this morning laughing at the 'Fire Eye'd Boy' video. Hahaha!

I still have to think of a question. :/ Sorry.

Is it me or does Emily lick her lips a lot?

"This is pure auditory beauty."

Oh man, don't do this to me, Alex. I'm dying to listen to it, but I will not create an acount. I just won't. It should appear online sometime soon. *keeps her fingers crossed*

"I'll have to watch my humour from now on apparently."

You better. I heard those guys are tough.
=P

"Me: "Wait, wait.

Them: "..."

Me: "Yeah, thought so."

hahaha way to set them straight, Alex!
;D

Answer 36
I actually have no idea. haha Seriously. I just made that question up without really thinking about it. I don't really look like any actress, so I can't choose one based on appearance. As for talent, well, I think Kate Wislet is the best actress around. So maybe her. Damn, I really should think before making these questions...
;)

Answer 37
I'm having trouble of deciding which are better fit for wedding and which for funeral too!haha It is weird.

-> on your wedding day/ on your funeral
'Love Is A Place' (both)
'Bright Future' - Bowerbirds (both)
'To Build A Home' - The Cinematic Orchestra (both)
'Ballad Of Big Nothing' - Elliot Smith (funeral)
'Red Song' - Hey Rosetta! (both)
'A.M.180' - Grandaddy (funeral)
'Sixteen, Maybe Less' - Calexico/Iron & Wine (wedding)
'Fake Empire' - The National (both)
'In The Aeroplane Over The Sea' - Neutral Milk Hotel (funeral)
'The Great Escape' - Patrick Watson (funeral)
'The Good That Won't Come Back' - Rilo Kiley (funeral)
'Sleep All Summer' - The National and St.Vincent (both)
'Your Ex-Lover Is Dead' - Stars (funeral)
'Maps' - Yeah Yeah Yeahs (funeral)
'Hello Sunshine' - Super Furry Animals (funeral)

That last song idea is totally stolen from this movie I saw like a year ago, 'Snow Cake'. Have you seen it? It's really good, plus Broken Social Scene produced all the music (or something like that). I remember watching the film and then there's a scene when 'Anthems For A Seventeen Year Old Girl' is played, and I was like 'WHAT?! MOM, IT'S THAT SONG!!!", cause that very same day I was giving her a 'music lesson' on best canadian bands.haha To my great surprise she actually enjoyed the song. Yeah, I thought you were terribly interested in that story, that's why I told it.
(Guess what language I'm speaking now)
=P

It's funny how I have way more funeral songs, than wedding ones, though. Funny... *gets worried*

"That's probably a subconsciously dooming sign of me and relationships..."

I think I might join you on that one, Alex.
;)

Anyway, continuing.

-> at the lifetime achievement award ceremony
I think it should be something cheerful, so for the lack of better idea...
'Section 12(Hold Me Now)' - The Polyphonic Spree
Although this isn't really my final answer. It's hard to pick a good song for this. God, I hate the pressure.
=P

"I wonder if I've seen a video for it or something."

You've probably seen it on youtube. That's where I've found it. I just downloaded the audio (to answer your question). I also did the same for 'Forced To Love' (Kevin & Feist) and 'Meet Me In The Basement' (instrumental),two other songs that may be part of their new album. If you want them, just say it and I upload them.
=)

"I hope you don't think I came up with that one. I didn't lol"

hahaha I actually did! I must have misread it or something. I take it back then. Not nice at all, Ariel.
=P

"Hopefully it wasn't too bad."

Can't remember. haha
;D

"I saw your post and I thought there was a firework. It was crazy, like you said."

hahahaha See? Told ya.
=P

"They have an opener now."

Yes...?

"Speaking of, where is this sarcastic face I've been waiting for."

Man, I totally forgot about that, but then remembered today, but then forgot all over again. I'll think of something. Hmmmm.
:|
(does that look sarcastic? It looks like a frog to me. Damn, why do I always make animal faces? This reminds me...
=B
IT'S BUNNY!!!
(lol please do ignore, for your own sake)
(another parenthesis, I know, but doesn't bunny look weird? Did I use to make him differently?)

"Right, so it takes you 30 minutes to find your mp3 in your bag?"

At least. That's why I wake up so early.
:|
(did it work?)

"We totally have it in our heads just how silly you are."

Should I feel offended?
;)

"Don't bring it up again."

Oooooh I've found Ariel's soft spot! *rubs her hands against each other*
;D

"Is it me or does Emily lick her lips a lot?"

Hmmmmm. Never noticed it, actually. Any video?
=)

I bet I'll break this box too! Man, I'm on fire this week! hahaha (Pathetic? Yep.)
=P

*fireworks*

"Damn, I really should think before making these questions..."

Hahahaha!

Questions 36:
Rosario Dawson or Lizzy Caplan. They're cool, but I chose them because my friends tell me I relate to the characters they often play.

Question 37:
Funeral: 'Love is a Place' and 'Spectacular Views' by Rilo Kiley
Wedding: 'Baby I'm a Fool' by Melody Gardot
I don't have an answers for the other one.

"Yeah, I thought you were terribly interested in that story, that's why I told it.
(Guess what language I'm speaking now)"

Hahahaha!

"Not nice at all, Ariel."

|(

"They have an opener now./Yes...?"

Yeps! They're a Scottish band called Codeine Velvet Club. I really like them actually.

"does that look sarcastic? It looks like a frog to me."

No; you're right, it looks a lot like a frog.

"At least. That's why I wake up so early."

Hahahahaha!!

"Oooooh I've found Ariel's soft spot! "

NOOOOOOOO! lol

"Hmmmmm. Never noticed it, actually. Any video?"

Oh yeah, Live at Metropolis on 'Too Little Too Late'
Here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7w7kV5JYoWI <<I love, love, love this performance by the way!
Here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7EK24YAhxUg

She doesn't do it excessively, but definitely more that any other singer I know.

Question 38: .....Yeah.....I'm running out of these. Gonna take some thinking. lol

I was at the record store and I got Bee Hives and Let it Die. I think I'm going to OD on amazing music.

She does lick her lips a lot! I've actually noticed that before, especially in videos from the "Live It Out" era I believe. And she does it in a very particular way...

Oh my Bee Hives! I have that gift certificate from Chapters, right? So I was looking to pick up another Broken Social Scene CD last night, but their music selection in store is not even close to what they offer online, and they had NO Broken Social Scene or Band Of Horses (their opener in the concert I'm going to Toronto for and need to study up on) so I was disappointed.

And that face does look like a frog.

l:;

Maybe? Or maybe that's just concerned...okay I admit, I just like using semicolons as raised eyebrows :)

"She does lick her lips a lot! I've actually noticed that before"

Hahahaha! Thank goodness I'm not the only one who notice. I was starting to think I was a complete weirdo. Hahaha!

"they had NO Broken Social Scene"

I'm afraid mainstream music retailers no longer carry cool music. Hahaha! In California (Los Angeles, San Francisco, Berkley...yeah, just three) we have this record store called Amoeba Music, they sell EVERYTHING, used and new. The good and bad thing is they are independently owned. So, I recommend you find a good independent music store to shop at around your area, 'cause used cd's are awesome! lol

|D

"I was at the record store and I got Bee Hives and Let it Die."

Those are amazing! I've been really rediscovering BSS for the last couple of days, it's like suddenly it all makes sense with them, in a weird kind of way. Maybe I just realized how truly amazing they are. I'm just in awe of them.
=)

"And that face does look like a frog./you're right, it looks a lot like a frog."

Yeah, but like a sarcastic frog? Cause that could be my alter ego. A very strange one, but still.
=P

Oh and about this...

l:;

I don't get it. Where is the mouth? Is it half...ripped? hahaha Cause that's not sarcastic, that's just creepy.
;)

"'cause used cd's are awesome!"

What?! I want one of those stores here too! That and Starbucks. Preferably close to each other...like in the same place. hahaha

So yeah. Not much new on this side of Atlantic. It's been raining a lot though. Like really a lot. Well actually it didn't today, nor yesterday, but the weather still sucks. *sigh*

I'm going to see 'Alice In Wonderland' tomorrow! It seems pretty good, though I didn't really like the books...

I know it, the only time "mainstream" and "good music" can be put together is when you're talking about the Metric EP :D

"So, I recommend you find a good independent music store to shop at around your area, 'cause used cd's are awesome!"

Seriously, I agree and FULLY understand! There's a store called Music Trader within walking distance of my Uni and they have an excellent collection of new and used stuff, everything I'd want to listen to. When I first found it and went in, it was amazing...and when I found "Live At Metropolis" in the music video section it was love. Now my friends work to dissuade me from going in because I can spend a very very long time in there...and definitely more money than I should.

"What?! I want one of those stores here too!"

So another stop to put on your tour of North America!

"I don't get it. Where is the mouth?"

It's confusing because the mouth is on the left and the eyebrows are on the right. It's not a severed mouth haha...yikes, that's horrific!

"Not much new on this side of Atlantic."

Eww. Rain makes me depressed. It was mucky in the prairies today too, the snow is starting to melt but it's still chilly and everything is just covered in the sand and grit from the road. You can usually ignore the unpleasantness for the short few pre-spring weeks when it's sunny and warm-ish, but today was just cloudy and gross.
Plus, one of my really good friends moved to Calgary today...you know how sometimes you finally get to know someone well that you've known for a while and you're like "Why were we not friends before!?! You're AWESOME!"? It was basically that situation, but like a month later (now) she's leaving and that just added to the unfortunate mood of the day.

You know how I asked you guys what you thought "world sick" meant? I think it's for days like this when sometimes things seem just heavy and lethargic...the feeling we can all relate to, but on a global scale. Thinking of politics you can completely understand where that come from. Can't wait to see how they perform it live!

Also, watching "The Hurt Locker" right now. So far, surprisingly good and very much more human than any other war-themed movie I've seen. Hope it doesn't end in tears though :(

"So another stop to put on your tour of North America!"

Definitely! I mean I'm sure these stores must exist somewhere here, but I haven't been lucky enough to find one so far.

"It's confusing because the mouth is on the left and the eyebrows are on the right."

Ahhhhhh. Yeah, it's not really sarcastic. Sorry, Alex.
;)
We must perform a makeover on that face.haha

"you know how sometimes you finally get to know someone well that you've known for a while and you're like "Why were we not friends before!?! You're AWESOME!"?"

Oh that's horrible. I hate when that happens. Making real good friends is hard, so I understand your sadness. Is Calgary very far from where you live?

"I think it's for days like this when sometimes things seem just heavy and lethargic...the feeling we can all relate to, but on a global scale."

You might be right. Though I still haven't figured out all the lyrics. Man, that song really is fantastic. Speaking of BSS, the tracklist for the new album is out and that song I posted a link to ('Like A Fadeout') will be on the record, though it will have a different name - 'Sweetest Kill'. Other songs I love and that will make part of it are 'Forced To Love' (Kevin and Feist) and 'Meet Me In The Basement' (instrumental). I was really hoping for 'New Country' but they end up not choosing it, which is really a shame cause I'd prefer that over 'Texaco Bitches'...unless they've changed that one bit.
=D

"Can't wait to see how they perform it live!"

You're going to Island thing (can't remember the name of it), aren't you? Beach House will be performing there too! I love their latest album, it's soooooo addictive!
=)

"Also, watching "The Hurt Locker" right now."

Oh man I really should rewatch it today/tomorrow. I didn't really care for it when saw it. And since the Oscars are tomorrow... Hey are we still doing our Oscar thread?
=)

Question 38/whatever

Would you rather be in the music or movie business?

"Is Calgary very far from where you live?"

Unfortunately yes, it's quite far, 16 hours worth of driving at least :( That's probably the worst part about Canada - when people move away to other cities they move FAR away because everything's so spaced out! Ah well, I find with people you were meant to be friends with staying in touch just tends to work itself out. So we'll see I guess.

"Speaking of BSS, the tracklist for the new album is out and that song I posted a link to ('Like A Fadeout') will be on the record, though it will have a different name - 'Sweetest Kill'."

I still know FOR SURE I've heard that song a few times before...it's distracting that I can't identify from where! Thanks for the track list, I'll have to download what I can ASAP so I can be ready to sing along!

"You're going to Island thing (can't remember the name of it), aren't you?"

Yes, the Toronto Island concert :) I'm super excited with the new bands they've announced...Timber Timbre is the only other one whose music I'm familiar with, but I've given the other a listen and very much liked what I heard. I don't know Beach House at all though, good to hear you give them a thumbs up that seems promising! I'll have to download all of these songs; my last credit card bill was quite unfriendly and it's looking like I'll have to cut down on my CD consumption if I want to be able to afford to get out to Toronto! My friend has been looking up flights for us so it's finally starting to seem real, and I'm very excited (which I may have already mentioned haha) :)

"And since the Oscars are tomorrow... Hey are we still doing our Oscar thread?"

I think we are indeed! My mum and I always make it a tradition to watch it together and I think she'd feel neglected if I was typing away the whole time, so my participation may be sporadic, but I know she's going out for a bit of the show so I'll definitely be online then! I'm looking forward to it, it should be fun.

"Question 38/whatever"

Haha good to know I'm not the only one who's lost track. I'd definitely rather be in the music business, I'm in love with the way musicians get to work (the writing, the traveling, the concerts). I'd like to produce art in a way that allowed me to constantly interact with my fans, everywhere from interacting with my audience while on tour to being able to road-test material (a la Metric) before it's finally released. I also find good musicians to be a generally more respectful group than those involved in the film industry...but that might be just my perception.

Also Alissa, as you may be happy to hear, I had part of a pudding day with my friend and it was a disaster. She found some 'minute tapioca' in her pantry and we made that, only to realize after its completion that it was 7 years expired...yes, seven. We decided to brave it and eat some anyways, and while the both of us were okay we brought some to our friend (the one who moved to Calgary) as a goodbye present/punishment for leaving on such short notice, as she was one of the people involved in the original pudding question. She ate more than both of us did (although we did inform her of its age before giving it to her), and when I checked in with her on the road the next day she told me it had made her sick...and had come up "like chunks of Play-doh" in the bathroom of a Greyhound station in Regina that morning. Pleasant image, eh? So perhaps your dislike of pudding is justified after all, I apologize for not taking your advice.

Just a nice little story to finish of this post :)

Question 39:

What are the three qualities you value most in a person?

"Unfortunately yes, it's quite far, 16 hours worth of driving at least"

Wooow! That's how you know you live in a big country. You could cross Portugal in 9 hours! I'm serious, it's THAT small.haha

"I find with people you were meant to be friends with staying in touch just tends to work itself out."

I like to think so too. Detachments occur more often than we would like them to, but believing that they represent an actual end is not a healthy thinking or a way of facing life. Not to me, at least.
I really do hope that you and your friend keep in touch.
=)

"I still know FOR SURE I've heard that song a few times before...it's distracting that I can't identify from where!"

Youtube? It had innumerous incarnations : Like A Fadeous, Untitled 2, Sweetest Kill... And it's been also attached solely to Kevin Drew. Don't know if that helps...

"I don't know Beach House at all though, good to hear you give them a thumbs up that seems promising!"

Well, I can't guarantee you'll love them. I think they're one of those those bands that just won't let you stand in the middle, you either love them or hate them. I definitely recommend you their latest album, 'Teen Dream', that one is really good, but it's a grower, so don't give up if you don't like the first time around. I'd say the highlights are: Norway, Zebra, Used To Be, Walk In The Park and Lover Of Mine. Those are really, really good.
=)

"so my participation may be sporadic, but I know she's going out for a bit of the show so I'll definitely be online then!"

Well, it's 11:36pm and I'm already sleepy. I'm not sure if I'll be able to watch it afterall... My mum went to sleep already, so that leaves me alone... I'll watch Craigy Ferg to stay awake, but I'm sensing my plan is not without its flaws.haha

Answer 38/whatever
Tough one. Well, I do wrote lyrics and that connects me with the music industry but I also write stories, which could be easily translated into films...Hmmmm. But I have absolutely no talent for music, meaning that I would definitely be working somewhere backstage, in the shadows. haha So, seeing from that perspective I'd rather be in the movies. BUT, since this is a hypothetical question, and I would actually be able to sing or play piano/guitar, then I would like to be in music business.
(Jeez, will I ever answer my own questions properly?)
=P

"only to realize after its completion that it was 7 years expired...yes, seven."

hahahahahah oh man.

"We decided to brave it and eat some anyways"

=O
Brave souls, you canadians.

"and had come up "like chunks of Play-doh" in the bathroom of a Greyhound station in Regina that morning."

What the...? Thanks for that, Alex. hahaha
=P

"So perhaps your dislike of pudding is justified after all, I apologize for not taking your advice."

I think this was a lesson for all of us. hahaha
;)

Answer 39
Hmmmm. Three qualities...
Not necessarily in this order:
* sense of humor
* loyalty
* damn, I can't think of a third one, all I have are just subdivisions of the two qualities already mentioned. I'll have to think about that one.

Oh man, I'm really sleepy. I'm thinking no oscars for me tonight.
='(

Oh I forgot to say that I've seen 'Alice In The Wonderland' yesterday. It was very good, much better than I've expected. Helena Bonham Carter was incredible here, just spot on. Johnny Depp was also very solid. Anne Hathaway was miscast, IMO. I'd say the worst thing about the film happened as soon as credits started to roll: Avril Lavigne singing. It was plain awful, I just don't know what Tim Burton was thinking. But anyway, I give 8/10.

I also watched 'Everybody's Fine'. That one was good too, and it had Sam Rockwell so I was extra happy. haha The film made me cry, actually. There were some really sad little moments. This one gets 7.5/10, 8/10 tops.

"You could cross Portugal in 9 hours!"

I think that's one of the coolest parts about Europe...everything is so close! Well, within reason.

"I really do hope that you and your friend keep in touch."

Awh thanks :) I'm talking to her now so it's looking good haha.

"And it's been also attached solely to Kevin Drew."

It might be in some of his stuff I downloaded...I'll have to go through it with a fine tooth comb and figure it out!

"I'd say the highlights are: Norway, Zebra, Used To Be, Walk In The Park and Lover Of Mine."

I'll check those ones out first!

"Well, it's 11:36pm and I'm already sleepy."

Awh well watch highlights tomorrow. There's been nothing too spectacular thus far. One of my favourite moments was in the acceptance speech of the guy who won for Best Foreign Film. First words out of his mouth: "I want to thank the Academy for not considering Na'vi a foreign language..." Definitely the best joke of the whole night and no one laughed! I laughed twice as hard at home to make up for it. I liked how the best actors and best actresses (or female actors, whatever is politically correct now) were presented by their colleagues though! I always think that alone would be the biggest honour.

"(Jeez, will I ever answer my own questions properly?)"

Haha your answer and its many intricacies made me laugh.

"I think this was a lesson for all of us."

Definitely. I'm glad you liked the imagery in the story!

"Not necessarily in this order:
* sense of humor
* loyalty"

Good selections! I'd definitely second the sense of humour point. I think I'd also chose honesty (which could kind of tie in with loyalty). The third point is a tricky one, I'd probably chose kindness...because it's niiiiice and broad :)

"Helena Bonham Carter was incredible here, just spot on."

I love her. I thinks she's brilliant - slightly insane, but definitely a brilliant actor.

And now, back to the Oscars!

Don't worry, I'm still alive. Last week was crazy for me. Be back later for response and I think I have a question, but I don't know if I want to ask it. I know Alissa really loves list; it's a list but like an epic list, and it would take forever. So, I have to think about that one.

|D

P.S. You two were totally in my dream. We were all going to a Metric show.

"I know it, the only time "mainstream" and "good music" can be put together is when you're talking about the Metric EP"

Oh, nice one!

"I can spend a very very long time in there...and definitely more money than I should"

You know, I'm not a very organized person, I can be and I love planing, but generally I'm too crazy to be organized. Haha! Not a good thing. I always find it to be helpful to plan ahead when taking a trip to the music store. It's almost like planing a vacation for me. Hahaha. It always helps to figure out a budget and have a list of what you want. If I don't do these things prior to shopping for music, I become a maniac and will spend a lot at the music store. :P

"one of my really good friends moved to Calgary"

Yeah, that kind of sucks.

Question 38:
"Would you rather be in the music or movie business?"

Music, definitely music. I don't think the movie business is all it's hyped up to be. Being from the film capitol, I know a lot of people who love film but don't like what they do in film or where it has or hasn't taken them. It's different with music. There are a lot of local bands I know that are amazing, that haven't 'made it', but they still seem very happy with what they are doing. With music, you can grab a guitar and show your heart and soul in a song. I'm not saying you can't do it with movies, it just takes more time and people, and sometimes the feeling is lost somewhere in between. And I second this one: "I also find good musicians to be a generally more respectful group than those involved in the film industry"

"Just a nice little story to finish of this post"

Hahahaha! That's pudding story definitely had me laughing. How about you have a pudding day with not 7 year old puddings. That's could work! hahaha. But Alissa might curse that one too. :P

Question 39:
"What are the three qualities you value most in a person?"

-Sense of humor *Yeah, just had to copy that one.
-Optimistic
-Creative

"Jeez, will I ever answer my own questions properly?"

That's what I was thinking. One of these days you're actually going to answer a question with the right amount of answers. One day....:P

"Helena Bonham Carter was incredible here, just spot on."

Yep, yep. I'm usually always impressed with her performance, but I just loved her in 'Alice in Wonderland'. Johnny Depp, was fantastic as always. Burton's direction with Helena and Johnny's acting, tied with Elfman's music is always a treat for me, no matter what. Wait....I take it back, I wasn't a big fan of the Chocolate movie at all. Maybe because for me, Gene Wilder is Willy Wonka.

"I also watched 'Everybody's Fine'."

That movie was way too sad for me. I really, really liked it though. I'm glad it had a happy ending though.

"I laughed twice as hard at home to make up for it."

Hahaha! I was laughing at that one to. When any award shows come on, I get very animated and kind of crazy. For some people, it's watching sports, for me it's awards. So, when someone I'm hoping for to win actually wins, I cheer. lol When Christoph Waltz won, I jumped out of my seat, literally.

Question 40: **Don't hit me for this one*

I want to see every single Metric song in order, from least favorite to most favorite. :D

Yeah, it's brutal, I know. You might want to put this on a paper.

What happened to Joey?

|D

O.O

Usually I hate that face, but Question 40 has shocked me. Ohhhhh my. Well, I know what I'm doing to stay awake during Bio class tomorrow morning!

I have more to comment on in your post Ariel but it will wait until tomorrow...I've spent too much time not doing homework on the computer already with that lovely response to the Metric butcherers on YouTube (I'm keeping you updated through that thread haha) so I actually have to do something academically productive I think.

Good to see you're alive though! And I'm pretty sure this was too much for poor Joey haha. Way to call it robot face.

Dear BBBs

I've been crazy busy these couple of days (and I will be the rest of the week too, and I don't even want to think about the next week, it's going to be a nightmare!), so that's why I haven't been here. I'll try to catch up as soon as I can, but it might take a while. Or not. I'm in the mood to procratinate. But I can't. I really can't. But I probabably will. Yeah. But I really shouldn't. The door to my bedroom just opened by itself! hahaha Creepy. That's the universe telling me to stop typing, I guess. I should listen to the universe. I'm off.

Sincerely yours,
;)

Man, it's been a while! But I see I'm not the only one who's been missing here. haha

Anyway, I'll try to do my best in the least amount of time I can. (Like I've said in my previous post, I've been drowning in work)

I figured out the third point to question whatever: open-mindedness. That's very important to me.

"P.S. You two were totally in my dream. We were all going to a Metric show."

hahahaha awesome! But how did you do that if you have never seen us/me (don't know if you ever saw a picture of Alex, or something)?

"But Alissa might curse that one too."

Ariel's right. My pudding-orientated-only witchcraft is almighty, beware!
;)

"Burton's direction with Helena and Johnny's acting, tied with Elfman's music is always a treat for me, no matter what."

*high-five*

"When Christoph Waltz won, I jumped out of my seat, literally."

Man, what a great speach. I just love that guy, he's so charming. (yes, a crush in development, it is)
=P

"I want to see every single Metric song in order, from least favorite to most favorite."

=O
Jeez. How bored were you when you made that question? haha That will take me ages! Like "srsly" (I just had to bring it up haha)
;D

"And I'm pretty sure this was too much for poor Joey haha."

Agreed. The pression is just too high, he couldn't handle it. No one can. This is a task for super-crazy-faced heroes only.
:|
;)
=B
(Did you see that??!! A metamorphosis ocurred right in front of you! Man, ain't that awesome! *crickets*)
Do ignore, please.

Hmmmmmmmmmm. Can't think of a question right now. Will be back tomorrow.
;)

I know, how busy is life right now! I have two term papers due by the end of the month (AHH I'VE NEVER THOUGHT OF IT LIKE THAT BEFORE AND NOW I'M FREAKING OUT!!!) so I feel like my free time should be spent on that. Or on pursuing concert tickets haha...I'm so excited I'm going to see Zeus with Jason Collett and Said The Whale next month, and Simon and Garfunkel in May, and all of the festival line-ups are coming out so I'm scoping those out too - I will actually have spend every cent I earned on music and/or traveling to see MORE music. But definitely worth it :)

I'm keeping in casual touch with the Front Row-ers through the lighter questions, but it's not the same. I always feel like Gerard doesn't like me haha that's the main reason I kept out of the old Forum actually...that makes me sad, because I think Metric fans are too nice to always be trying to show off how much they know/one up the other people. I think we should all just share a feeling of community and togetherness through out mutual adoration of Metric and live in peace and harmony ("*Gasp* I'm a hippie!" "Get that hummus out of here!")

But anyways, hmm, yes...Metric dreams! I haven't had one in a while actually. I need to listen to more Metric before I fall asleep to prepare my subconscious for musical adventures! That's true, my real identity is a mystery I suppose...it's just because I'm exceptionally unphotogenic and I'd rather have Emily and Jimmy as a picture. One day I will change it to a picture of me I guess. That makes me wonder though Ariel...what exactly did we look like in your dream?

"Like "srsly" (I just had to bring it up haha)"

Hahaha oh Alissa...I had another response typed and ready but for some reason it didn't send, so I decided to take the mature road (which was also kind of the lazy road, I admit) and leave that little tiff be. We'll see if they do make another video like they threatened.

Also, beautiful metamorphosis of the BBBs!

Okay, I'm going to go do real work again, but hopefully we'll still keep this going when everything else quiets down! Good luck with your lives, all of you :)

I'm still alive, but full of work to do. Next week will be much easier to bear so I'll bring some good old questions back!haha

By the way, Alex, I'll reply later to some topics of your post, but your last paragraph sounded way too much like a goodbye! What's up with that?
=S

Anyway, yeah. Wooow I just noticed Ariel hasn't been here in 6 days! I guess she's been busy too. Bloody school and all the hard work that doesn't allow us to share our common love for Metric through some absolutely random question that I can never answer properly!hahaha That just might be the longest sentence ever typed. But then again, no.hahaha I'm weird, we all know that by now.
=P
;)
:|
%D
OMG is that a new face? Yes, it is! If you look really close, it actually looks like that Waldo dude... Or maybe not. I dunno. It was supposed to be some random crazy face...which it kind of is, so I guess I've succeeded...? I know, I know, "go to bed, Alissa".
;)

Hahaha oh Alissa. That made me smile.

No, it was not supposed to be a final goodbye, but re-reading it it does sound like it eh? I meant more "good luck with your busy lives this week".

And I like the new face...it's very Picasso! I feel like we could perhaps work it into something upon further contemplation.

Ariel we miss you!

Sorry that I haven't been around lately. Midterms. So, now it's calmed down a bit, I'm back.

"But how did you do that if you have never seen us/me"

Yeah, that's what I said. With my dreams, it's always implied that it is someone I know, they sometimes don't even look like how they do. For example, in one of my Metric dreams, Jimmy was totally ripped, which we all know he isn't. My mind shapes and creates things and people, it's quite interesting.

"*high-five*"

YES!

"Man, what a great speach. I just love that guy, he's so charming. (yes, a crush in development, it is)"

Oh good, I thought I was the only one. :P

"How bored were you when you made that question?"

Srsly, I wasn't bored at all. I don't even know what I was thinking asking this. I barely have my top ten. So, hey.....

"I always feel like Gerard doesn't like me"

Right, I though I was the only one who got that.

""*Gasp* I'm a hippie!" "Get that hummus out of here!""

Hahaha! I just love that.

"last paragraph sounded way too much like a goodbye! What's up with that?"

Srsly, Alex. Not cool...

"If you look really close, it actually looks like that Waldo dude..."

Hahahaha! It so does.

"Ariel we miss you!"

Awww. Yeah, yeah. But, I'm back. Like every time I went on the computer and didn't come here, I felt like I was forgetting something. |(

Right, as ridiculously crazy it sounds, question 40 still stands. :P

|D

Let's see if I can cover all topics this time...

"I'm so excited I'm going to see Zeus with Jason Collett and Said The Whale next month"

I love all three of them, especially Jason though. I think he's so amazing, and I'm pretty hooked on his new album. It's very good! "High Summer" is a morning must this past week.
;)

"I always feel like Gerard doesn't like me/ Right, I though I was the only one who got that."

hahaha that's so funny, cause I get the same vibe from him! That's why we're buddies! (I meant us, BBB, not like me and him hahaha I thought I'd better clear that up)

"Also, beautiful metamorphosis of the BBBs!"

Why thank you! It felt very natural and surpridingly painless. (hahaha that doesn't even make sense, ignore)
=P

"I meant more "good luck with your busy lives this week"."

Oh ok, that I can take.
;D
I think the worst has finished for me, though I still have three essays to do this weekend, plus a couple of posters to a project I'm involved in. *sigh*

"I barely have my top ten."

Exactly! I don't think I can answer your question Ariel. All I know is that 'Love Is A Place' is my favorite song and 'Empty' is #2. That's pretty much it. I'm sorry...Now I feel bad, but I really don't know about the order of songs.

"It so does."

YES! I'm not the only one! hahaha

"Like every time I went on the computer and didn't come here, I felt like I was forgetting something."

I sure hope so! Our BBB gang was incomplete without you, Robot, so I'm really glad you're back!
;)

"Right, as ridiculously crazy it sounds, question 40 still stands."

Ridiculous, indeed. I think Alex is the only one who can change that now.haha It is all in your hands, oh the Wryly Amused! (that might not be your name, actually - you should have an easier one to remember!). Hey I think I forgot my own name now... I know it's not the frog...DAMN! How in the world could I ever forget this?! Grrrr!

Hey I'm doing some volunteering this saturday. I'm pretty excited. It's not a big deal (we'll just clean up some woods) but I still feel glad I've joined.
=)

hahahahahhahaha I just fell asleep for a moment!!!! Oh man, that's just sad. Ok, I'll talk to you guys tomorrow.
;)

Really Ariel? Still with question 40? [:;

(Was that the face? Was that my identity? I forget! I'm sorry Alissa I tried!)

Okay I will still do it one day, I'll tell you that!

I'm glad to hear from you Ariel, I understand the busyness but I was starting to feel like I was missing out on part of a routine whenever I'd shut off my computer without leaving a little post here (wow, I absolutely could not remember how to spell 'routine' there and tried multiple different spellings before it kicked in...embarrassing!).

"I always feel like Gerard doesn't like me/ Right, I though I was the only one who got that. hahaha that's so funny, cause I get the same vibe from him!"

Oh good, I'm glad it's not just me then hahaha. I feel as though he's being defensive as if we're threatening his claim as top Metric fan or something, know what I mean? But now I feel less alone, of course I should have expected that from you both haha.

"With my dreams, it's always implied that it is someone I know, they sometimes don't even look like how they do."

I totally understand, it's the same with me! Other than knowing who someone is even if they look different (haha, Jimmy ripped...what a weird mental image!) sometimes I also just have people in my dreams that I barely know - like a customer who I talked to at my work that day or something - who is in my dream and for some reason is my best friend. It's very odd.

I had another Metric dream list night though! I guess with Mark Linkous' suicide musicians and death were on my mind, and I had a dream that somehow Emily was in a hospital very sick or in a coma, that part was a bit unclear. The important part was that it was heartbreaking. The hospital was in Toronto and somehow the whole Metric community organized a trip there in her honour...like EVERYONE who comments on here was there, only their real names were their usernames and I couldn't see anyone's face. Somehow we'd all brought musical instruments and set up in a big field under her hospital window and all started to play Metric songs basically in her honour. We'd played a stirring rendition of "Love Is A Place" and were about to play an acoustic "Live It Out" when I woke up. Weird eh? Also, we were all wearing shirts that were two-toned blue and grey (I'm assuming that came from me trying to imagine a drink for that Metric themed restaurant that could be called "Blue To Grey"). I woke up almost like it was a feel good dream though, which was odd, so I guess our music cured her?

I loved that restaurant question. I like that we all agree "Raw Sugar" is an appropriate name. I also like how I can completely imagine two very different restaurants named "Hustle Rose" and "Black Sheep" respectively! Who knows, maybe we'll make a very unique chain haha.

Okay, I'm going to finish my French paper but I will talk to you all soon!

(Was that okay? Did that sound less like a final goodbye? I tried to make it as un-terminal as possible!)

"(Was that the face? Was that my identity? I forget! I'm sorry Alissa I tried!)"

I forgive you. hahaha I think it was something like this...
;:/
Not sure about the mouth, though. Can you remember your secret identity name? Or mine? I can't get it right. Hmmmmm.

"I feel as though he's being defensive as if we're threatening his claim as top Metric fan or something, know what I mean?"

That's exactly how I feel. It's like he wants everyone to know that he've met Emily and that she talked to him, etc. I mean, we get, right? No need to rub it on our faces.
;)

"like a customer who I talked to at my work that day or something - who is in my dream and for some reason is my best friend."

That is odd. To me it happens more with places, not so much people. Sometimes I dream I'm in a place that I'm sure it's my city when in fact in doesn't look anything like it. And at times I have people in my dreams that I don't even think I've ever seen in my life. Those are the weirdest.

OMG you're Metric dream is AMAZING! I 'srsly' want to be in your head when you sleep!hahaha
=D

"Who knows, maybe we'll make a very unique chain haha."

Oooooh nice! It could work as a disguise for our super secret BBB crime solving! Good thinking, Alex.
;)

"Was that okay?"

That was fine, I definitely felt you were coming back soon. hahaha
=P

Question 41

So...what's the best 2010 album you've heard so far?

"That's why we're buddies!"

*high five***

"Our BBB gang was incomplete without you, Robot, so I'm really glad you're back!"

Awww. Thanks :D

"Hey I think I forgot my own name now... I know it's not the frog...DAMN! How in the world could I ever forget this?!"

You're a Ninja Turtle...remember?

"Hey I'm doing some volunteering this saturday."

That's so cool. You're going to have a great time. We do something like that in the city where I live, but instead it's a beach. I don't know how it is with a forest, but beach clean-ups are so much fun for me.

"I just fell asleep for a moment!!!!"

HAHAHAHA!!! That's the greatest. I mean that in the best possible way, LazyD.

"Really Ariel? Still with question 40?"

Darn....fiiiiiiiiine....No more question 40. Forget I ever asked it. Hahahaha! Although, I my list is almost finished.

"Jimmy ripped...what a weird mental image!"

Yeah, it actually really was. He was wearing a Christmas sweater. Weird.

"I woke up almost like it was a feel good dream though, which was odd, so I guess our music cured her?"

That dream sounds so....well not awesome, but kind of. The Emily being sick part sucks, but the rest is nice. :) Kind cool dream, Alex.

"I like that we all agree "Raw Sugar" is an appropriate name."

Yes, yes. High five for "Raw Sugar". :D

"Was that okay? Did that sound less like a final goodbye?"

How about we just not say any sort of goodbye at the end of the post. Hahaha. Problem solved :P

"Can you remember your secret identity name?"

LazyD: Ninja Turtle ;)
Alex: Wryly Amused ;:/
Me is a |D

It's settled....Hahahaha

"I have people in my dreams that I don't even think I've ever seen in my life."

That is kind of weird. I have never had a dream with someone I have never seen.

"I 'srsly' want to be in your head when you sleep!"

Hahahaha. Like srsly, that's what I was thinking.

"Question 41

So...what's the best 2010 album you've heard so far?"

I have to think about that one.

I'm so glad that your are back to your good questions, Alissa. Especially since I ask crazy, insane questions.

|D......YA!

"You're a Ninja Turtle...remember?"

AHHHHHH!YES, I AM! (How did I forget that? Like duh!)
Ahyway, thanks Ariel!
;)

"I don't know how it is with a forest, but beach clean-ups are so much fun for me."

I had a great time, and I can't wait to repeat it! It was really, really great. I really had no notion on how seriously (hahaha) poluted that area was, though. We've found so much trash we could build a house and decorate it, no kidding! Toilets, chairs, windows, shoes (high heels, boots, etc), all sorts of clothes, a walkman, toothpaste from the 60's or something, a cell phone, automobile tires, some freakishly tortured Barbie dolls, bottles of wine/whiskey/vodka, a dog's corpse, carpets...Wait, did I say dog's corpse? YES! It was awful! There was no flesh left, only bones and some hair. Flies were all over it... It was very unfortunate. It was pretty much the last thing we've seen before we left, so it wasn't very nice. Some said that it smelled really bad, but I didn't feel a thing, actually. We've also found fox's skull and (probably) rabbit's jaws. Oh and we saw a snake! A pretty tiny one, true, but still a snake. Anyway, we made a picnic too, so it was very lovely overall.
=)

"I mean that in the best possible way, LazyD."

;)

"Darn....fiiiiiiiiine....No more question 40. Forget I ever asked it."

hahhahaha We're sorry, Ariel, but THANK YOU!
=P

"That is kind of weird. I have never had a dream with someone I have never seen."

Damn. I was really hoping you'd say 'Oh yeah, that happens to me all the time, don't worry, you're not a weirdo, Alissa'. So yeah, thanks a lot.
=P

"Like srsly, that's what I was thinking."

hahahaha *chest bump*

Answer 41

I'd say for now my favorite is 'Teen Dream' by Beach House.
Honorable mentions:
*'Contra' - Vampire Weekend
*'Volume Two' - She & Him
*'Rat A Tat Tat' - Jason Collett
*'Heartland' - Owen Pallett

Question 42
What song would best describe your mood at the moment?

Question 43
If you were granted the power to give OR to take away something to/from the world, what would that be?
(You can't answer something like 'peace' or 'hatred', try to be specific)

Question 44
What are your most anticipated albums of the year?

lalalala I was soooooo going to tell you something! *kills memory*

P.S.: I think I might break the box this time, man I haven't done it in ages.
;D

Pffffffffffffffftttttttttttt. I can't even make a box break anymore. My life sucks. I'm not worthy of being part of our super awesome BBB gang.
='(

"Anyway, we made a picnic too, so it was very lovely overall."

Lovely...? I worry sometimes about you, Alissa. Hahaha. Just kidding, I know what you mean. It's just this forest thing you did sounds really, really creepy.

"I was really hoping you'd say 'Oh yeah, that happens to me all the time, don't worry, you're not a weirdo, Alissa'."

Well, that would just be a complete lie.....I mean that in the best possible way(I think this is the new 'no offense, but...')Hahahaha

"Question 41: So...what's the best 2010 album you've heard so far?"

Unfortunately, I haven't. I haven't been like really blown away so far. But then again, I don't listen to a lot of radio, and I usually buy physical copies of albums, so I haven't gotten my hand on any of them. I can't wait to buy the new She and Him, Goldfrapp, Sade, BSS. I'm really looking forward to underground local bands like ScientificLifestyle and Rabbit Rabbit...That being said, Of the Blue Colour of the Sky by Ok Go is the best album I've heard this year.

"Question 42
What song would best describe your mood at the moment?"

Well, I'm listening to "I.O.U" right now and I'm really feeling the music, but that's only because it's on now. There is the guys I've kind of been seeing, but we haven't really had enough time to hang out or anything. So, The Cardigans' "Our Space" is definitely my song right now.

"Question 43
If you were granted the power to give OR to take away something to/from the world, what would that be?"

That's a great question, Alissa. :D So, living things have to die, right....speaking of...Alissa, I had a chance to read "Death With Interruptions" after taking a long break from it. I still have to re-read some pages, but I really like it. I visited my philosophy teacher, from last semester, the other day, and we chatted about of for a while. So, again, thank you for recommending it. :D.

Now, back to question 43. So, like srsly, mankind cannot live one Earth without it being alive. Butt, mankind's favorite hobby is destroying the Earth. So, I would take away the fact the the Earth is dying slowly.

"Question 44
What are your most anticipated albums of the year?"

Though it came out yesterday, I have been looking forward to some new Goldfrapp for a few years. I'm definitely giddy about the new Broken Social Scene album. Although there hasn't been any announcements, I'm looking forward to Melody Gardot and Madeleine Peyroux albums. I was also hoping that Sia would release an album soon.

"I can't even make a box break anymore."

Honestly, we don't really break boxes anymore. lol But...we do get to keep the name, 'cause we've earned it. :P

I have to think of some question. I have to make it good to make up for that ridiculous previous one I asked.

|D

"Lovely...? I worry sometimes about you, Alissa."

hahaha I just re-read what I wrote, and it does sound freaky! I didn't mean the picnic with the corpses around us was lovely, but the general result of the day. Yeah. I know I'm weird, but not THAT weird.
;)

"It's just this forest thing you did sounds really, really creepy."

Well, it was. But it was lovely too. Those two adjectives go together quite often actually. It's very much an european thing, you wouldn't understand.
:|
;)
=P
(all that to say I have no idea what I meant, so, you know, do what you always should've done - ignore moi)

"(I think this is the new 'no offense, but...')"

Yeah...you're offending me. Srsly. I'm srsly hurt.
=P
But still on the subject, I had the weirdest dream the other day (well, night): I was walking down some dusty road with a friend of mine (whose face I didn't see, but I knew it was a friend anyways) and then I see these two guys (one of them incredibly gorgeous and the other faceless, this one was wearing a hoodie, I think) getting out a liquor store. So the cutie comes up to me and offers me a bottle of smirnoff ice (my favorite drink, just so you know), but I decline it and he's like 'What, you don't drink before midday?' (this whole thing takes place in the morning) and I'm like 'No...'. Next thing I know, the friend I was with was gone, much like the other dude that was with him. So now we're going uphill, and there are these beautiful, huge, amazing houses on sale (like real mansions) and we're already deciding what kind of a place we want for ourselves, the best location, etc (apparently our relationship evolved greatly very shortly). Then it's all blank in my head for a minute and then we're at a restaurant (I can still see it in my head) and I know he's going to tell me something awful (let's say I knew right away that this guy was an asshole but I still gave him a chance) so I run to the bathroom and cry there for the rest of the evening, spying on our table! lol Then I woke up. It was actually a very long dream. I really wanted to go back, actually. It felt so real, everything. Very, very weird.
But yeah, all this bla bla bla to say that I've never seen this dream guy in my life.
=P

"I had a chance to read "Death With Interruptions" after taking a long break from it."

Awwww I'm so happy you did! I really am! So your professor read the book too or you were just chatting about the general subject of the book?
=)

I'll answer those questions tomorrow, I'm feeling sleepy now.

"I have to make it good to make up for that ridiculous previous one I asked."

hahaha aww come on now, don't be too hard on yourself, you've been forgiven by the BBB council, so it's all good now.
;)

I'm sorry both of you I've been so busy it's not even fair...and I'm not even in exam mode yet! I've just been working every day (which is sad) and my friend is in New York for the week so I've been exercising her horse for her after work every day as well (which is actually very happy but still quite time consuming). I also had income tax stuff to do, started working out my life this summer, tried to book stuff for the BSS trip to Toronto...and tons of other little time-consuming things. Long story short, I've spent the little free time I have at home eating, trying to write a Politics paper, and sleeping...the only time I have for Front Row was quick glances at the first page :(

I'll try to catch up briefly, although I'm too tired to find the exact quotes. I'm sorry for the stuff I won't comment on but be aware I did read everything even if I don't mention it haha.

Alissa, way to volunteer! I'm sorry about all the corpses, I hope they didn't put too much of a damper on your picnic.

"I mean that in the best possible way(I think this is the new 'no offense, but...')"

Hahahaha Ariel I'm going to segue over to that now in my daily conversations hahaha.

Also, nice dream Alissa. It sounds super weird but I understand what you mean with dreams feeling just so real you can't help but wanting to go back just because you want to see how everything will turn out. Now - armed with our new knowledge on dreams and faces from Joey - you'll possibly be able to give faces to the faceless people! You never know...

I must still read "Death With Interruptions". I WILL get on that!

"Question 41: So...what's the best 2010 album you've heard so far?"

I sadly haven't heard much new stuff...at least not things released this year. I'll have to get on that I suppose.

"Question 42
What song would best describe your mood at the moment?"

"Calculation Theme" I think...just for the line "I'm sick, you're tired...let's dance." The tired tone of the song works for me right now, although I'm not sad. I'm kind of in the same boat as Ariel though, because I was just listening to it and that may have influenced me.

"Question 43
If you were granted the power to give OR to take away something to/from the world, what would that be?"

That is an excellent question! Your answer was quite insightful as well Ariel. I'll fail for all of us now, because there's no way I will be so eloquent in my fatigue. I'd have to say in the most direct sense I'd like to take away a disease, like cancer. It's something my family has a history of and I think it's absolutely terrifying. I know there are other awful diseases out there as well, but this is the one I worry about the most. It's not particularly altruistic and I'm sure I'll think of something better later, but that's it for tonight.

"Question 44
What are your most anticipated albums of the year?"

This is easier. Definitely BSS's new album, can't wait for that one. The next two are especially exciting, because I just learned both bands are coming to my city within the next three months...The New Pornographers have an album coming out (and they're coming in June - I bought a ticket tonight!) and Stars' "The Five Ghosts" which comes out in June. AND THEY'RE PLAYING A SHOW IN MY CITY MAY 10TH I'M SO SO SO SO EXCITED!!! I actually learned about it tonight and OH MY I can't even wait!!! I figured you would both understand where I'm coming from!

But anyways it's past midnight here and I'm so tired it's not even fun. I'll come up with a question one day, I promise!

YEAH BROKE THE BOX!

OH one last thing I had to tell you both I got a Facebook message from a guy who runs a legitimate magazine based out of Hamilton, Ontario. He came across a picture I took at the Metric concert in October (it was posted on the Metric fan page)...the one where Emily has her back to the audience and her arms spread out? It used to be my picture on Front Row. Anyways, he was wondering if he could use it as the picture for their cover feature on Metric in April! I am saying definitely yes, I think it's awesome and I'm really excited actually :)

I figured you might both care haha.

"I didn't mean the picnic with the corpses around us was lovely"

Oh, thank goodness!

"It's very much an european thing, you wouldn't understand."

I know right. Americans always try to make sense of things. It's a shame. :P

"I have no idea what I meant, so, you know, do what you always should've done - ignore moi"

Never!!!

"But yeah, all this bla bla bla to say that I've never seen this dream guy in my life."

Maybe it's because you've been thinking about how strange it is that we are all capable of having a dream with people we've never seen before.

"So your professor read the book too or you were just chatting about the general subject of the book?"

No, she hasn't read it. But, she is the third person who ask to borrow it after I'm done. It makes for amazing conversation.

"I'll answer those questions tomorrow, I'm feeling sleepy now."

It is tomorrow...

"Ariel I'm going to segue over to that now in my daily conversations"

It works better, because you say it after you've offended them, then it turns into a good laugh. :)

"Stars' "The Five Ghosts" which comes out in June"

I just found out about this. I cannot wait. I watched the videos on their site and from the bits of songs I hear, it sounds amazing.

In addition to my answer 44, I have to add that I am really excited about the new The Dead Weather album. Just found out about it yesterday.

"I figured you would both understand where I'm coming from!"

Alex, I know exactly, exactly where you are coming from. As of a few minutes ago, guess where I will be the day their album comes out? Where, you ask? Well, on June 22nd, the day of the release, I WILL BE WATCHING STARS PLAY LIVE!!!!! So, believe me, Alex, I know exactly where you are coming from. I'm out of my head excited right now, Metric tonight, and Stars in a few months, it's wicked awesome.

"Anyways, he was wondering if he could use it as the picture for their cover feature on Metric in April!"

Oh my gosh, that's so awesome, Alex. I'm going to order it. Let me know when it comes out.

METRIC TONIGHT!!! I forgot for you Ariel, I hope it's amazing!!! No, I know it was amazing oh my goodness you need to tell us all about it AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! I hope you got the chance to meet Emily and the boys...oh my goodness I'm all excited for you again right now! Hope you took lots of pictures!

STARS ahhhh! Your concert will be amazing Ariel, album release date! Alissa, again - if you can make the trip across the ocean my house is open to you. It breaks my heart that you're missing these bands :(

And side note: the magazine comes out late this week (or is supposed to). It should be online I'll keep you updated!

"No, I know it was amazing oh my goodness you need to tell us all about it AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!"

Right, the show itself was amazingly spectacular. I could have died watching that show. Hearing everybody sing the acoustic version of 'Combat Baby' was pure magic.

The night, in general, was eventful. I met a lot of amazing people and I guess you can say I met a lot of idiots too. I ended up defending people I barely knew, but they were really cool people and really nice. During 'Twilight Galaxy' I got elbowed in the face and stepped on, trying to prevent a huge fight. I guess security though it was just a rowdy mosh. I think a mosh would have been a lot safer for me. When I finally got to enjoy the show, I was amazed. They're such great performers.

On a side note, I learned that jumping in a mosh pit with heels on is a lot easier than I thought it would be. :P

"I hope you got the chance to meet Emily and the boys"

Well, between getting punched in the face and scratched by a ho after the show, it was hardly possible. I was kind of in shock.

Good thing Metric is amazing, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to forget about the bad.

"Your concert will be amazing Ariel, album release date!"

Yeah, I am really, really excited.

"Alissa, again - if you can make the trip across the ocean my house is open to you."

Same over here, Alissa. Just as long as you don't end up being a crazy killer. :P

"It should be online I'll keep you updated!"

Awesome! That picture you got is great. When they were about to performed "Stadium Love" and Emily was like "do you have....Stadium Love?", she did that pose, and I was like "whoa, that's Alex's picture". :D
