I think this song is really under appreciated. I like how sarcastic Emily's voice is and the lyrics are so clever. Back when I still used MySpace my profile name was Cash Masturbation for a while. I got a lot of questions about that one.
"Where does the time go? We're waking up so slowly. Days are horizontal lately." Brilliant.
This is an excellent song, I concur with Joey's opinion of it being underrated. I think it's one of the more hard-hitting Metric songs lyrically, and it's seriously political (I do love that). I love the synth in "All we do is talk, sit, switch screens..." and the guitar before the chorus the first time around. Also a big fan of the sound change for the "passive attraction..." part. I think that's actually my favourite part of the whole song upon further reflection.
And, as a bonus win, it's off OWU. Enough said.
I'm not the biggest fan. Its just never really clicked with me. I keep it underrated. 8)
