YES!!!!!!! I'M SO EXCITED! *does a happy dance* This is going to be amazing, I can tell already!
This bit made me smile so much: "But [Metric singer] Emily [Haines] came out of the woodwork and dropped a vocal on it and it broke our hearts." <333
Oh and Emily, Feist and Amy singing together? That's like heaven to me!
Man, this just made my day!
=D

Oh nice, Briggins. Thanks for the info. I haven't gotten the time to get into BSS, but I guess now is the time. :D

Briggins, you are like on top of things. Sometimes you have more news to give us than Lana. Nice. :)

"I haven't gotten the time to get into BSS, but I guess now is the time."

Ariel, seriously, you don't know what you're missing! BSS is one of the most epic bands out there, and that's not even an opinion, it's a well known fact!haha j/k You must give them a try, really. The obvious recommendation is 'You Forgot It In People' album. It's sooooo good!
=)

@Ariel They should just hire me as an unofficial official news bearer for the Front Row community :P

And yes, the time is now. And like LazyD said, You Forgot It In People is the perfect album to get you hooked. The whole thing is flawless. Like every second of the album.

Awesome! I hope that song he mentions with Emily's voice is in the vein of "Anthems For A Seventeen-Year-Old Girl"...sounds kinda like it (the favourite instrumental track - like "Pitter-Patter Goes My Heart" was the instrumental of "Anthems"). I'm so excited for it to drop!
I hope this means Emily (or Jimmy) will play that Toronto Island show, since they were a part of the album.

Ha, I was going to post this link, but happy to see that someone beat me to it. I love the combination of Broken Social Scene's driving indie rock with interesting female voices like Feist and Emily Haines.

I'm seriously considering traveling to Toronto for that festival that BSS are putting on. Should be amazing day.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh this makes me want to go see them and Metric at SxSW even more!!!!!!

"you don't know what you're missing"

Yeah, I kind of do. The thing is I just love the song 'Hotel' so much, that I can't get past it to listen to anything else. It's like a tunnel vision thing. Hahaha. Maybe if I delete it from my zune, I'll listen to another song. haha This whole Canadian indie scene is so good that it's exhausting.

"They should just hire me as an unofficial official news bearer for the Front Row community"

That's already what I consider you. :)

"The thing is I just love the song 'Hotel' so much, that I can't get past it to listen to anything else."

The SAME happened to me! I would listen to 'Hotel' a gazillion times a day, I just could never get tired of it! Soooo good! But then I 'made' myself listen to the other songs and, well, I'm glad I did.hahaha I can assure you that the rest of their stuff are as good, some even better.
