Juno nominations come out tomorrow! For those of you who may not know, they're basically the Canadian equivalent of the Grammys...only better of course, because they're for Canadian music! I'm not one to put a whole lot of stock into the results of awards, especially music awards, but it is exciting to see the bands you love get some of the recognition they absolutely deserve.
I'm expecting 'Fantasies' to be Metric's most prolific album yet in terms of nominations. I don't know the categories that well, but I'm thinking three nods AT LEAST would be about right! I wouldn't be surprised to see "Gimme Sympathy" singled out in there. I'm hoping if they get the nominations, they might very well win their first Juno...or even better (in my opinion) they might play at the show!
Good luck Metric! We know you deserve it, now lets see if the industry people can accept that you do after you worked your way up without their help!
I bet Taylor Swift will probably steal Metric's awards. She's not even Canadian, nor is she even close to being as talented as Metric, but she's a little award stealer.

Ariel: I WILL ALWAYS BE BITTER ABOUT THAT. I'm sorry, but if she lost it to someone who could SING (i.e. anyone else nominated in that category...) I would've at least known she lost it to someone who can carry a tune. But really, T. Swift is awful.
